Scope 1,000 L slimline tank, pump box, landscaped pathway
WaterFarmers installed a 1,000 litre tank for a backyard vegetable garden in Guelph. Eavestroughs were modified to direct rainwater into the tanks built-in prefilter. A pump installed in a wooden pump box draws water from the tank on a timer to feed soaker hoses to the gardens. A rain garden was installed to accommodate overflow from the rainwater tank and was integrated into a new flagstone pathway area leading downhill from the tank to the backyard. The slimline tank model features a thin profile, making it a better fit for the narrow space between the two suburban homes. The homeowners applied for and received rebate from the City of Guelph for this installation.
